Well I am finally on time with one of my posts....Lily is 7 months old TODAY! She is such a big girl, I cannot beleive it. As I always say Lily is constantly changing, but it's true! She learns new things everyday. Her newest "thing" is saying "da-da" it is the cutest sound I have ever heard. Her little voice is soooo sweet. Im sure you can imagine how this makes her Daddy feel. I have noticed some new variations she has been saying like ya-ya and so on. So we will see what sound she will make next!! I am trying for ma-ma but I think that one is a little too difficult for her :) Lily can fully sit on her own. when she does tip over she is either reaching for something or she just simply wants to change positions. She has learned how to stick her arm out and "cushion" her fall. It is very cute. I think our next purchase will need to be some baby gates. She isn't crawling yet, but I have a feeling that will be the next thing for her. Swimming lessons are starting soon and I am sooooo excited. Once we do start I am sure I will be posting about that as often as I can. No stats this month since she wont have a dr appt until 9 mos. As always here are some pictures of our little Mini.

We have been pretty much glued to our TV every evening watching the winter olympics! We usually are more into the summer olympics but these winter games have got us hooked! We have been watching EVERYTHING from ice dancing to snowboarding. Shout out to Shaun White....he was AMAZING!!

Our little Lily is 6 months old! I cannot believe how fast the time has flown. Lily is constantly changing and discovering. I love it. She has been loving solid foods for about a month now. Sweet potatoes are her favorite but she has tried applesauce, peaches, pears, bananas, prunes, peas, green beans, squash, and carrots. She seems to love everything that she tries. She is such a good girl! She also loves her rice cereal and oatmeal. Lily has learned how to drink from a sippy cup and so far she has had water, apple juice, pear juice and white grape juice. She absolutely loves them all! Our little girl rolls from back to front and front to back....she is getting very mobile. Yesterday, she was starting to bring her knees up in the crawling position...I have to say it freaked me out a little!! haha. She has learned to sit up on her own, she still tips over from time to time but overall she does great. Lily is still such a chatterbox! she squeals and coos so loud! She absolutely loves the attention :) she gets that from her dad. I swear we have the happiest baby ever, it is very rare that she fusses or cries. when she does it is usually because she is hungry or tired. Lily will be starting swimming lessons in March ( at 7 mos) she will learn survival techniques like how to flip over and float on her back. I am very excited to start! We love our little angel so much! Lily you are the best!

Let me just start by saying I love my brand new nephew! I really do! It is so awesome being a FIRST TIME auntie. It is such a different feeling...I never thought it would be but I just love the kid so dang much I feel like I might burst! So thank you Josh and Sarah for making me an auntie and Brad an uncle. I am so excited that Lily has a cousin, I just know they are going to be the best of friends.

Well little Dice entered this world on January 31st. He was 6 lbs 13 oz and 18 1/2 inches. Sarah was such a trooper. She was in labor for a full 24 hours before the little guy finally came crying into this world...and cry he did! I had the opportunity to join the grandmas at the hospital all night and wait for him to be born. I cant even tell you the feeling when we FINALLY got to see him after waiting 8 hrs in the waiting room. I am so happy for Josh and Sarah. They have embarked on such a fantastic journey. Thank you to both of them for allowing me to be a part of their miracle. :)

First play date!

Well Lily officially had her first play date with her bff Kaytleigh! They had so much fun together. It was cute to see how Lily interacted with another baby. They did really well together. Kaytleigh is 9 mos and Lily is only six but they still had a lot of fun. Cant wait for the summer when they can go swimming together.

Well, this has NOT been a great month for us. 4 deaths...from close friends, not so close friends, to family members. I am really hoping this is the end of it. I have decided to start my year with February. Who needs January? It is cold, dark, and everyone is sick of winter. One great thing that happened in January was that my mom came out to stay. I love when she is here!! We went shopping, got pedicures, and just had a grand time. Also, we did our taxes the other day and we are actually getting a refund! Hallelujah!! Thank you house, Lily, maternity leave, and part time job. First time ever for us. Seems a little backwards that a big reason for it is that I worked less and went part time. ANYWAYS....bring on February. I will be in more of a blogging mood. I will have a new nephew...actually my FIRST nephew!!! Valentines day. Super Bowl. Brad getting wisdom teeth out (not great for him, but good for me because I wont have to hear any more complaining). Lily will be 6 months old. and hopefully many more great things to come!!

Christmas 2009!

Yes...I am a little late with my Christmas post...but at least I am finally doing it! Lily had such a great first Christmas! It has been my very favorite Christmas so far :) it was so much fun even though she didnt really catch on to much. She did love the wrapping paper though. Lily is such a spoiled girl! she got tons of new toys and clothes. This Christmas was the best just because we had our little girl with us. Last year she was with us, but not in the same way. I cannot wait for more holidays to come. Brad and I didnt do as much for eachother as we have in years past, but I think both of us still got spoiled :)

Hale Center Theater

This week we were so lucky to be able to get away for an evening to go see The Christmas Carol play at Hale Center Theater. We went with my side of the family and we had such an amazing time! The play was sooooo GOOD, it exceeded both mine and Brad's expectations. After the play we went to eat at the new restaurant in Orem called Pirate Isand! It is actually a pretty cool place. Very good place for a fun family dinner! We missed our little Lily, but it was sure nice to go out with the adults :) Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful evening!!

Lily is four months old!! (actually 4 1/2) I cannot believe how fast the time has flown...but I say that every time! Lily is at such a fun age. We are constantly getting a kick out of her. She is such a happy baby and I am so glad for that. Lily is up to sooo many new things...a few of them are: grabbing toys on her own and playing, she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, she is a great little supported sitter, laughing/giggling, she is a TALKER...she goes on and on making new noises it is hilarious, Lily sleeps all through the night..her last feeding is at 9 pm then she doesnt eat again until 5 or 6!! Lily is also teething which makes her a little drool monster on top of her spitting up....yes she still spits up A LOT but the doc gave me the green light on rice cereal so I am hoping the cereal will help her with that!

Thanksgiving post...a little late

It's never to late to express the things you are thankful for...right!? I figure it hasnt quite been a week since Thanksgiving so I am still doing ok. We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving this year. We enjoyed some great...and I mean GREAT food and some good ole fashioned family time. I seriously stuffed myself to the brim, but I dont feel guilty :) Lily sat right there at the table with us and she slept through the whole feast. Next year hopefully she will be covered in mashed potatoes!

* I am so grateful for my daughter. She is my ray of sunshine. I am thankful that I had such a healthy pregnancy and that she made it here safe and sound. I am so grateful for her health and her beautiful smiling face. She turns any bad day into a good one. I love you Lily Rae!

* I love love love my husband. He is the most positive force in my life and I am so thankful for that. Love you forever Bradley.

* I am so grateful for our jobs. Especially at a time like this. We both have jobs we enjoy and I feel so lucky that we both can provide for our little family.

* I am thankful for my family...my moms, dads, brothers, sisters,....etc ALL of you mean the world to me. Thank You for everything you do or have done for us. It DOES NOT go unnoticed.

* I am so grateful for my home. I always feel safe and cozy inside these walls. I love that we can call it OUR OWN.

* FRIENDS. you know who you are, and you know I love you.

* I am thankful for the food in my belly. I am glad that we have food to eat and that we dont have to go hungry. Thank you Tom Turkey!!

Halloween!

Lily had a wonderful first Halloween! Brad had been gone all week in Connecticut and we were so excited that he made it back in time to partake in the festivities. Pumpkin carving was a blast and we had so much fun dressing up! Lily went trick or treating to her grandparents and she had so much fun :)

PHEW!! We are officially done counting Lily's age in weeks! I can't beleive our little girl is 3 months old...wow the time has really flown. I still wake up every morning and thank God that this sweet angel is mine. She is our little ray of sunshine! What is Lily up to? Well she is smiling like crazy and she even has started to giggle, she is laying on her tummy a lot more and holding her head up so good, she sleeps anywhere from 6-8 hours straight at night, she absolutely loves to watch TV it is so funny ( we need to buy her some baby einsteins), Lily has started making these really high pitched squeaks...so cute, she is loving her toys more and more everyday, I have started reading books to her and she just loves it!! I am not sure of her stats at this point, she wont go to the doctor until her four month appt. So we will have to wait until then. These pics are from her 10 wk photo shoot.

Baby Lily's Blessing

Lily Rae was blessed on Sunday October 25. The blessing was absolutely amazing! My brother Josh performed the blessing and he did such a beautiful job. We are so glad that he accepted the task :) Lily was such a good girl and quite the trooper. She looked so pretty in the dress Grandma K bought her. Thanks to all who came and supported our little family, it means so much to us. Also thanks to my parents for hosting...I know it was a lot of work and everything looked so beautiful!!

Little Lily bug is actually 9 weeks old as of yesterday. I waited to post so that I could put her stats up. Lily is growing and changing like crazy!! I swear she hit 8 weeks and all of these sudden changes started occuring. She smiles at her mommy and daddy when she sees them, she is cooing like crazy, she loves to lay on her blanket and play with her toys ( well look at her toys), she loves to suck on her fingers, she sticks out her tongue ALL the time, she can stare at the ceiling fan for a very long time ( thats how I get ready in the mornings), she has become a little splashing machine in the tub it is so much fun to watch! I still feed her once in the middle of the night, but she is getting better and better. We love our sweet girl soooo much and I dont know what we ever did without her! She is our everything. Lily also has a little bit of an attitude....when she is hungry, she is HUNGRY and she doesnt want to wait! She doesnt like to stop in the middle to burp either. My mom calls her "little spunky" and she is RIGHT ON. What can I say though, we love her little spunky personality!!

Lily is one month old today! I can barely believe how fast time has flown. She is constantly changing and growing from day to day. Lily is the sweetest baby, and we are so thankful that she is ours.

Some things Lily is up to:

*She loves listening to music
*Her favorite time of the day is bath time
*She is such a chatterbox, she loves to talk and coo
*She goes five hours in between feedings at night! Hopefully soon we can make it six :)

Lily had her two week doctor appointment on Wednesday! She is doing absolutely wonderful, her weight is up to 7 pounds already and she has grown and inch in length putting her at 19 inches long. The doctor let me know that I need to wait until she is four weeks old to take her out in public places around other people. He did however, tell me it was ok to take her on walks! This was so exciting for me because it would give us a chance to get out and get a little fresh air. We couldnt go too far since I am still recovering, but we had a great 30 min walk around the neighborhood. She absolutely loved it! She was wide eyed the whole time :) I am hoping to make it a daily thing atleast until the weather gets too cool.

Thats right, our little ray of sunshine is one week old today! Wow what a week it has been, things still seem so surreal. Every time I look at Lily I still cannot believe that I am her mommy. I feel so lucky, to have her. I know that being a mother to her is and will always be my greatest accomplishment. Is it crazy that I look forward to waking up 3 times in the middle of the night? Just so I can hold her? We love our little squirt and can't wait to make many more memories :)

Some accomplishments we have made:

*Lily wakes up on her own every three hours to eat! She is so good!
*She had her first doctors appointment yesterday, and the doctor said she is doing perfect!
*current weight is 6lbs 2 oz (we are working on fattening her up)
*The past 3 nights she has slept in her bassinet

I have made it! I am 32 weeks today....woot! That has to be some kind of milestone right? Only eight weeks left. Dont get me wrong I have really enjoyed being pregnant, but lately I have been getting VERY anxious. I just want her to get here. I have heard the 3rd trimester is the worst because of the anxiety and it is sooooo true. I think my belly grows a little more everyday. Having a big pregnancy belly is so hard! I cannot tie my own shoes, paint my own toe nails, and bending over period is a huge chore. I woke up at 3 am last night with the most painful heartburn ever.....this has been one of the new occurances I have been dealing with for the past couple weeks, but in the middle of the night!? really? Tums have become my very new best friend :) I had never had heartburn before getting pregnant, but when my chest felt like it was on fire and about to rip open I kinda figured that must be it! Baby Lily loves to jam her feet and hands under my ribs too....let me tell ya, that is such a joy. I am ALWAYS hungry but I cannot eat all I want to in one sitting because I am pretty sure my stomach is also under my ribs and that leads to shortness of breath................................ok ok ok ok ok I promise I am not complaining. I couldnt love my little baby more. ALREADY. She has Brad and I both wrapped around her tiny finger. She loves to dance and I love to watch my belly moves as she does her morning aerobics! I already know she is going to be so much fun. hopefully she isnt too squished in there!

Finally a vacation!! We literally have not been anywhere since December when we went to California. So it was definitely time to get away. We went with the Simons side and we had a blast! We got to stay in a super nice condo for the weekend and it was so great to relax. We went shopping at the outlets, saw a movie, went mini golfing and of course we ate at In n Out. There was plenty of relaxing too :) here are a few pictures of the weekend! Thanks to our family! We had such a good time!

Yes! We finally got rid of our Jeep! It was a long time coming and let me tell you I am soooo glad it is finally gone. A couple weeks ago we decided to purchase a 2007 Mazda CX-7. We had been looking for a while and one that we really liked finally came into Carmax :) we got a great deal and everything just seemed to fall into place. We are loving the car! It feels great to have something a little more reliable. The Jeep was a good car, but it was definitly time for it to go. Since you are all probably wondering.....NO, I am not going to make Brad drive the Beetle so I can drive the new car!I still LOVE my Beetle. Apparently that is the joke going around Brad's work :)

NOOOOOOOO!!! How did this possibly happen? Danny Gokey has been my ABSOLUTE favorite contestant on American Idol this year since his audition. I am still in awe that he got sent home last night. I am pretty sure I screamed out loud. he is sooo much more talented than Chris....oh well atleast he made it that far :) best of luck to Danny!!

The Race for the Cure

Brad and I were super excited to be able to participate in The Race for the Cure this year! It is something that I have always wanted to do and I am so glad that we were able to go. We participated with Brad's co workers from Carmax and we all had a really good time. They even made cute pink tye dye shirts! The weather was great and it was so wonderful to be there. It was so inspiring to see all those brave survivors :) we walked the whole way (obviously I could not run it) and we finished in a little over an hour. We cant wait to go next year, with the new addition to our family!!

I figured I should probably get on here and do a little update! It has been forever since I have posted anything. Things are going great with us, there is not much to report. We had a wonderful Valentines day weekend. After a two hour wait we were able to enjoy a very good dinner at the Cheescake Factory. No they do not take reservations and that place was packed! Ofcourse the wait was well worth it :) Bradley got me a beautiful necklace with August's birthstone in it. I love it. Hopefully the baby doesnt come too early :) I got him some Jazz tickets for the game this weekend against New Orleans. He is very excited because they are actually good tickets....usually we are in the upper bowl. We always have a super fun time at the games and we are both really excited!

I had my 13 week doctors appt last week and I finally got to hear our baby's heartbeat. It was so great to hear and it was so fast! My first appt they couldnt find the heartbeat so we had to do an ultrasound. so we got to see the heartbeat but not hear it. I have been feeling really great and I am so happy to be in my second trimester. I feel like I really havent had too hard of a pregnancy ( so far) so I feel pretty lucky. I only had two weeks of morning sickness and I really dont think I could have taken much more than that! Anyways, things are going really great for us. We are both just working and loving life :)

For those of you who are not aware, I am pregnant with our first baby! I realized I never announced it on here...so I figured I probably should. Brad and I both could not be happier :) I have had some morning sickness but it has been starting to subside. I am so glad for that! We both are looking forward to Jan. 15th when we will get to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It is all such a new experience and very exciting! We can't wait to know if it is a boy or girl!

California in December!

Thats right! I know, I know you are all so jealous :) and you should be! The weather was amazing, and what could be better than being on a warm beach in December. The reason we were able to go is because Brad is pretty awesome. He was voted in the presidents club for his job at Carmax. They flew us out to Newport Beach and we got to go to a very nice banquet honoring the employees that made it in this club. The hotel we got to stay at was so nice! They really went all out. It was nice to get away from the cold weather for a weekend. Congrats to Bradley I am so proud of him :)

COLDPLAY CONCERT!!!!

words cannot express how wonderful this concert was! We loved it, and we had awesome seats ( thanks to some awesome parents) They played an hour and a half set and it was so entertaining the whole time. Chris Martin ( lead singer) did not stop dancing and running around the stage the whole time. He was fantastic. None of us wanted the show to ever end. I cant wait until we can see them again! Best Birthday present ever!!

Twilight: The Movie

So we all have been waiting FOREVER for the Twilight movie to come out and that time has finally come! Some friends and I decided to go together on the opening day ( yes it was crazy) it really was a bunch of fun! All of us were screaming and had the funnest time. As for the movie....well in my opinion it was not that great. The chemistry between Bella and Edward was pretty non existant and a lot of other stuff about it was cheesy. I do have to say I cant wait for the next one because i think it will be a lot better! oh well it was a fun girls night anyways :)

My big brother Joshua got married Oct 18! His new wifey Sarah is such a cutie and we are so happy to have her as part of our family. They were married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple and their pictures turned out absolutely beautiful. The reception was at Somewhere in Time located in lindon. All the decorations turned out so wonderful and the food was great. We wish them all the happiness in the world! congrats again!!

I know it has been soooo long since I have posted anything...I have no excuses! I did want to put up a few pictures of our trip to California back in September. We went for a week to celebrate our Anniversary. We were able to go to Disneyland, California Adventure, Universal Studios, and Sea World. It was so nice to have a vacation and we really enjoyed ourselves!

camping trip to the uintas

Last weekend we were able to take a day off work and go up to the uintas for the annual camping trip! my family goes every year on the second weekend in august. it was nice to just take some time off and relax. we both love being up in the mountains. we went hiking and enjoyed some great camp fires. it only rained for a little bit on saturday, so it wasnt too bad.

I know I know, its so hard to beleive that after almost three years I am leaving the South Orem Branch of UCCU. It is about time I think. I got offered a full time MSR/Loan Officer position at the pleasant Grove Branch and I am so excited. I will be closer to home and doing what I love full time. I am working full time now, but I work as Head Vault teller in the morning until 12, then I do loans the rest of the day. I have been wanting a position like this for some time now and it is about time! I will probably not leave for sure for 2 weeks, it will be a great change for me. I will miss every one at South "O" very much! Even those of you that have been calling me "traitor" all week ;) Thank goodness for phones and email.

DAD'S 50th Birthday!

So my dad turned 50 yesterday! I know can you beleive it?? Ok ok so its not that old and he claims he feels fantastic. That is all that matters right? So, we attempted to throw him a suprise dinner at brick oven ( key word being ATTEMPTED). Of course he knew exactly what was coming! My father cannot be fooled...this is true. The dinner turned out to be great and it was fun to be around my side of the family. Yes, it has been a while :) We filled the room with black balloons and he ended up getting an " over the hill" survival kit, great idea Ulene! All in all it was a great day and I think he loved it.

Side note: I locked my keys inside my house yesterday. Thats right, I left my keys on the counter and locked the door behind me. then i went to start my car....hahaha oh wait I dont have my keys! I was on my way to pick up my friend to take her to get her car out of the shop, I started freaking out. So I went over to the realtors office of pebblewood...I dont know why because I knew they woudlnt keep a key to the house we own, but I was desperate. So Nate the guy in the office decides to be a good samaritan and help me out. We tried many things...one of them being to climb on the roof to see if my window was unlocked, it was but the ladder was not tall enough. Next, we tried to see if any of the construction workers could pick locks somehow (CREEPY) Then, since my dead bolt was not locked Nate decided to try to unlock the door with a credit card. I was thinking ummmm not in a million years is this clean cut goody good realtor going to be able to jimmy my door. Magically all of a sudden the door pops open!! he looked about as shocked as I was! I almost hugged him but refrained (which was awkward). I was so happy and glad that I didnt have to ditch my friend in her time of need :) Also, there is a lesson to be learned....Lock your dead bolts because it is obviously not hard to open a door with a credit card. Unless Nate is holding back on us in someway.....

FOURTH OF JULY FUN!

Brad and I were both lucky to have a three day holiday weekend. I was very excited because Brad does not have holidays off as often as I do :) We woke up early on Friday and decided to go eat breakfast at Ihop. The only problem was that so did everyone else in American Fork! Luckily it is just the two of us so we didnt have a thirty minute wait like some other families. There is no better way to start your Fourth of July day than to eat red, white, and blueberry pancakes! They were wonderful. Next, we decided to make our way to the mall do some shopping and catch a movie with the family. We went and saw Hancock. It was not a super great movie, like we thought it was going to be. The story was a bit lacking...but we still had a fun time.

The best part of the day was of course the FIREWORKS! Brad's family watches the staduim of fire fireworks every year. they set up blankets and chairs near the marriot center. Brad talked me into driving there on the scooter. I really did not want to drive that long of a way on the scooter, but I gave in. It really did turn out to be a fun little ride :) So, we are all sitting on the blankets talking and having a good time. Out of nowhere we hear this squirting noise....I feel a little water on my face and i was thinking someone was squirting us with water guns. Needless to say, I am a little slow. The sprinklers came right on!! we were all scrambling and running to pick up our things, while trying not to get soaked!! It was actually pretty funny :) We had to move our things across the street to a different area. The fireworks were so great!! They really do get better every year. We had such a fun and family filled fourth of July. Thanks everyone!

P.S. we saw WALL E on Saturday. Now that movie is worth seeing! It was soooo cute. Everyone needs to go out and see it :)

CAT-SITTING

Well it is our very last weekend with Jing. She is the cat we have been watching for three weeks now. She really has been such a great cat and we will miss her!

ART CITY DAYS

Last weekend was the Art City Days Parade! Yipee! It was a great family filled day. We went to the parade with the Boyack side of the family. After the parade we had a fantastic picnic. It was so great to finally be able to spend a day outside. The weather was perfect and we got to play a lot of fun outside games.

THE BEE'S GAME

We were able to catch a Salt Lake Bee's game this past week. Neither of us had been for a couple of years, so we figured it was about time to go again. It was a great start to the summer...sadly it was still a little cold.

Bradley's new scooter!!

So, finally after years and years of wanting to buy a scooter he finally did. We made a deal...I have been wanting to get a VW beetle for as long as I can remember, so the deal is I get a beetle and Brad gets a scooter!! Pretty good deal, eh? Works out great for us both :)

We went up to Logan last week to pick up the scooter and bring it home. It was such a long trip! Neither of us had even been to Logan and honestly I dont think we will be going back soon. It is so far away! We got it home just in time for that huge rain storm that lasted days and days. Finally last Saturday we were able to go out and ride it around. It really has been so much fun and really great on gas. Brad has been riding it to work this week, and he is really enjoying himself.

As for the beetle.....its on its way from the Arizona Carmax! Stay tuned :)

AMERICAN IDOL: THE BATTLE OF THE DAVIDS

Finally! After months and months of waiting the American Idol finale is next week! I have to say that I agree one hundred percent with America's decision to send the two Davids into the final round. They both are super talented artists, so I personally will be happy with whoever wins the competition. Although, in the past couple of weeks i have been leaning a little more towards David Cook for some reason....I really don't know why. Well we will see what happens next week :) Actually I am excited to have my Tuesday and Wednesday nights back!

The Jazz Game 5/2/08

Go Jazz Go! Well yes, as you probably guessed we went to the jazz game last friday! It was so great to finally make it out to a game when we have been talking about it for months now. We got to see them kick the Rockets out of the running and it was so great to be there for it.

I'll tell you one thing...when people say that The Energy Solutions Arena is the loudest arena in the NBA, they are not kidding! I seem to forget that every time we go. It is crazy in there, but it makes it that much more fun. Hopefully we will get to make it to another game before the season is over. Beat LA!

Bradley's 23 Birthday

First off, I think Brad had the longest Birthday celebration ever! I feel like we celebrated it for 3 weeks straight ( I don't think he minded that ). He turned 23 on the 23rd this year so it was his special birthday. We were able to go bowling with the Simons' side and we all had a blast. I am pretty sure I lost horribly on both games, but its the fun that counts right?? Everyone had a good time and we were glad that everyone was able to come. On Brad's actual birthday we both took the day off. I took him to the Living Planet Aquarium, which was pretty amazing. Neither of us had ever seen a sea horse or an octopus in real life....so we were just as amazed as all the five year olds running around us. They have a pool where you can pet stingrays ( which are very slimy) and they also had a big tank full of different types of sharks. We had a lot of fun. That weekend we were able to spend time with my side of the family. Brad got his favorite dinner cooked for him and i think he was happy about that! We also had a little get together with all our close friends....which was definitely a night to remember.

Bradley bought a new barbeque with all of his birthday money. That is something he has wanted since we moved in our house. It goes perfectly with our new patio furniture, so now we are just waiting for the weather to finally get warm :) Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes from everyone, you really made it a special day for him!
